about Inserting your HTML tag!
You need to log into your
member area. Once you have logged in, click on 'Insert
HTML'. Once you have done that, all you need to do is
copy the html tag and paste it into your html files (web
pages)
Yes. You can display a single
Free Banners Network Member banner on as many pages as
you like. After joining, you can get the unique html tags
to insert in different pages within your website.
Yes and No. Yes, you can
display multiple banner ads on one page if the other ads
are from other agencies or networks. However, you cannot
display two or more Free Banners Network banners on a
single page.
You can place the Free Banners
Network banner anywhere on your web page as long as it
can be viewed somehow (hiding it in a non-resizable frame
is not allowed). However, please remember, ads placed
at the bottom may not generate many hits (impressions)
because a user can halt the display or click to another
page before the ad has completed its request. If the request
is not completed, you don't get credit for it.

The HTML code to place your FreeVisits "Intellistitial
code" onto your web site may be obtained with the
"Get HTML Code" command in the Control Center of
FreeVisits.
Always use a browser and verify any changes you make to
your web page.

Here are directions for inserting your FreeVisits
HTML code using a plain text editor:
- Start an authoring tool (e.g. Notepad) and Open
the source code for your web page.
- Copy and Paste* your FreeVisits HTML code and Save
the file.
- If your web page is on a remote server, upload
the changes to the server.
*Copying is a standard function which almost all
Windows and Mac applications have. To Copy, highlight
the text using the mouse and choose Edit
from the menu bar at the top and then select Copy
(Ctrl C). To Paste, place the cursor where you want to
begin the FreeVisits HTML code and select Edit
then select Paste (Ctrl V).
If you are having problems with submitting your
changes, perhaps you are having permissions problems.
Check with your system administrator for help with
updating your web page.
- Netscape Composer
Here are directions for inserting your FreeVisits
HTML code using Netscape Composer:
- On the menu bar, choose Edit |
Preferences
- Choose Composer | Publishing
- Uncheck Maintain links and Keep
images with page
- Click OK
- On the menu bar, choose Insert | HTML
Tag
- Paste* the FreeVisits HTML code exactly as it
was given to you.
IMPORTANT! Make sure the
cursor is flush against the end of the FreeVisits
HTML code with no spaces or linebreaks. This
editor is extremely picky. If the cursor is not
flush against the end of the FreeVisits HTML code,
you'll get a Premature close of tag
error message.
- Click OK
That's it. You should see a yellow link symbol
appear. If you preview the page, you should see the
form. If you are using Netscape to publish your site,
please remember to click Select None
under Publish.

- Go to Personal Publisher
- Select Edit Page
- Click the HTML button on the

Free-From HTML box.
- Click OK
- Then click on View
- Finally click on Publish after
you see the form.

- Select Edit | Paste
- Type <!--/NOEDIT--> after
the FreeVisits HTML code.
- Now Save your document and FTP
or upload it to your server (if
necessary).
Make sure the FreeVisits HTML code is placed after
the <BODY > tag and before the </BODY>
tag.
- Web TV
